How To Measure Your Nails
Use the method below, if you do not have a measuring tape/flexible ruler.
TAPE, PEN AND RULER METHOD
Always measure in millimetres (mm). 1cm = 10mm.
-
Step 1
Cut a small piece of clear tape and place it on top of your nail.
-
Step 2
Press along the side walls of your nail to flatten the tape.
-
Step 3
With a pen, mark both sides at the widest width of your nail.
-
Step 4
Remove the tape and use a ruler to measure the width in "mm".
If you are in between lines on the ruler, round up to the next line. It is usually better to size up.
Repeat the steps for every single nail. It is common to have different nail sizes on each hand.
